About Us
Expertly taught lessons and professional string ensembles
Meet Elizabeth Jones, a passionate musician who found her calling in the soulful low tones of the viola. Hailing from the beautiful city of Lexington, Kentucky, Elizabeth’s journey into the world of music began as a “Suzuki kid,” starting on the violin before falling head over heels for the viola after just one year.
Her musical odyssey led her to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance at the University of Michigan, followed by a Master of Music in Viola Performance and Pedagogy at Northern Illinois University. She spent four years in doctoral studies at the University of Kentucky, where she also had the privilege of playing in the esteemed Niles Graduate Quartet.
About Suzuki Method
"All children can learn" – Shinichi Suzuki
The Suzuki Method is based on the premise that everyone can learn music, just as everyone can speak their native language. Suzuki teachers are trained to break each skill into accessible steps. Suzuki violin and viola lessons are structured to teach the discipline of music through small steps, focused listening, and musical exploration. Technical skills are taught in individual lessons while group lessons are designed for games and making music with new friends.
